Florentine meatballs

  • 1 jar "Bongiovi-Arrabbiata" Sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped spinach
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup bread crumps
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 500 g lean ground beef
  • 1 clove, minced
  • 2 T chopped onions
  • Muffin pan

In a medium bowl, mix together the egg, bread crumbs, onions and garlic along with ½ jar of Bongiovi sauce, ¼ cup of the mozzarella and ¼ cup of the Parmesan cheese. Shape into 8–10 large balls.

Put a spoonful of pasta sauce into each muffin pan cup and then place the meatballs on top. Spread the remaining cheese over each of the meatballs.

Im Backofen bei 180 Grad ca. 20–30 Minuten backen.

Bake uncovered at 180° C (350° F) for 20–30 minutes. Placing a glass of water in the oven will prevent the meat from drying out.

Serve on a bed of fresh spinach or with your favorite pasta.

Have fun cooking!
